Snore no More !

Snore no More ! Posted by Hello
I snore!
Everyone, yes everyone who has maybe spent a night with me at a camp, or maybe we shacked up together (now dont' go thinking all those stupid things that just ran through your mind), and my wife.. yes my wife has told me that I SNORE !

Now doctors have an explanation but that does not help your spouse, and the matter of fact is no Women Snore (Well try telling them that they do, and see what happens). Anyway.. this brings me to a new gadget that I just came across, it's called the Snore Stopper and it reatils for about US$ 60, well now I know what is my next birthday gift.. Peaceful sleep.

This is an electronic gadget, that you are supposed to wear around your wrist like a Wrist watch, and it has a sensitive sound detector, that detects snoring, and sends a mild electric shock without disturbing your sleep. Wham, and you stop snoring, till you want to be electrocuted again !

No pills, no surgery, nothing.. dont' believe me, here is the link to the Product Page on Gadget Universe.

Happy Snoring, till your wife grabs one for you !

Buy me the Moon Mommy!

 Posted by Hello
As my favourite song goes,

Fly me to the moon, and let me play amongst the stars,
let me know what spring is like on jupiter and mars.

Well papers have been touting these days that you can buy a piece of land on the moon, for as low as Rs. 1400 an Acre (approximately US$ 30 Per Acre). Times of India, and Hindustan times have both covered it, and Now I am hearing that other papers are in the queue of it. (Click the picture above to view an Article from the Hindustan Times, Dated 26th March 2005)

Here is my outlook on the deal, and how you can save your self from the fraud.

How do you know this is a Fraud?
Well what if I was to come to you and sell you the Taj Mahal, will you believe me, what if I had a documentary proof, havent' we all heard of this joke, wont' you take me to be a scamster, a trickster for doing this. This is what selling the Moon is all about. Before you sell something, or actually buy something, you have to own it.

Who Owns the Moon
If I may, reproduced is an answer from the FAQ's of one of these sites
Contrary to popular belief, ownership by individuals of extraterrestrial properties is not forbidden. The 1967 UN Outer Space Treaty stipulates that no government can own extraterrestrial property, but it neglected to mention individuals or corporations.

While the Actual UN treaty can be found here, for the lazy couch potato friends, it reads
The moon and its natural resources are the common heritage of mankind, which finds its expression in the provisions of this Agreement

Neither the surface nor the subsurface of the moon, nor any part thereof or natural resources in place, shall become property of any State, international intergovernmental or non-governmental organization, national organization or non-governmental entity or of any natural person. The placement of personnel, space vehicles, equipment, facilities, stations and installations on or below the surface of the moon, including structures connected with its surface or subsurface, shall not create a right of ownership over the surface or the subsurface of the moon or any areas thereof.

Since when is this scam going on
As long as I know, it has been on for years now, but I can find information as old as year 2000 on the Internet.

Some Links You can see
MSNBC
Internet Fraud Services
CNN
Times of India

Should I still buy it ?
Well if you think you are not a natural person, and one or some or maybe all of your great grandpaernts were extra terrestrial, you should stake your claim to it.

But all I can say is, that Registry certificate on your wall, will not be more than a piece of paper, though yes, it may spark off a topic of conversation at parties.

The Lady Bug MP3 Player... Now Who needs this ? Posted by Hello
Our obsession to be different, to stand out is now getting to limits. Well that is what I feel, Recently a Company Called Donya (Now don't know who they are or where they are from), but Thanks to Google Language Tools (http://translate.google.com) I am to understand this

In for the person who grows tired of the common design of the MP3 prayer
It is the MP3 prayer of advanced and unique design!

Well that was not too bright a translation (Google Japanese to English is still in Beta Stage), but here is the lowdown on the Bug. It ships in Red and Blue (now Blue Lady bugs are going to be a RAGE), has 128 MB Memory to store your music and is also available in a 256 MB Variant, 6 Months Gaurantee, 5 Hours Playtime (Approximately), For about 40 US$ for the 128 MB and 60US$ for the 256 MB Player.. The price is not as attractive as the Bug.

The Most Interesting Feature, it weighs only 24 Grams. Now that is light like the Bug.

Indian Express - Your own Fort Knox

These then are the facts: 34 per cent of burglars break in through the front door; 81 per cent of intrusions occur through the first floor; 23 per cent of burglars use first-floor windows, while 4 per cent enter through an unlocked entrance. Alarmist as it sounds, the possibility of a burglary is real and ever-present, more so if your house offers easy entry points. There are many safeguards you can take to prevent your house from being ransacked. One of the most effective ways, and also more expensive, revolves around using electronic devices and circuitry.

Music - OGG, MP3, WMA, Secure WMA What else do you Want !

The Samsung Yepp YPF1 Digital Audio Player Posted by Hello

Well it's Here, and it's going to make a lot of noise. For those of you who loved the IPOD, but did not want it as it did not play OGG, and the other OGG Players were still a little out of reach, on 30th March 2005, Samsung Showcased their YPF1 Yepp Digital Audio Player, and it plays MP3 ,WMA and Secure WMA, as well as Ogg Vorbis and Audio ASF formats.

A Fashionable negative LCD with a White backlight offers an interface that I quite like to look at, but initial reviews have shown that the Command Interaction is poor.

The YP-F1 is also equipped with an integrated FM radio, from which it can record. That's right, you can record straight from radio.

Claiming 10 hours of battery life from its Lithium Polymer battery, available in sizes ranging through 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB, neatly rounded case sporting a built-in stainless steel belt clip and exchangeable covers, it makes the competition look like a brick !

Oh I have Seen the Light !

At times driving down highwas across India, I have seen the passion people have for lights, from Truck Drivers putting LED (Light Emitting Diodes, those small flickery coloured lights) to reflective coloured stickers to decorate their trucks, to people using Blue Neon lamps under their car to creat an ANT Disco.

I have seen the light, but I have not seen anything like this, and still can't make up my mind, If I want to buy a bicycle, just to try these on. Illumination Design, a Company based out of Belmont, MA, USA has designed these lights for Bikes. I hope I dont' see someone saying, I LOVE PREETO on their Bicycles Now..

How Much Space is Sufficient :)

Gmail .. Yes the Best Email.. I love it.. I hate to say, but as a Hosting Company we dont' have anything equivalent to this. It is been 1 Year that GMAIL has been around, and it is wonderful, nice, slick, efficient.. whatever words you can use for it's praise are little of what it is.

Announcement from GMAIL

Our plan is to continue growing your storage beyond 2GBs by giving you more space as we are able
and no this is no April Fool's Joke. They are saying it, they will do it, how I dont' know :)

Yahoo! announced that it will soon enlarge the size of its users' mail storage spaces from 250 megabytes to one gigabyte. The change, expected by late April, will allow users to store four times more e-mail on their Yahoo! Mail accounts.

But it still leaves me this question, how much space do we all require.
